Many times, we have longer calls with new callers. This is alright because it takes time to assess the callers needs, their risk for suicide, their support systems etc. It is helpful to let new callers know about the scope of our services and what to expect the next they call.
As you are wrapping up the call with a caller, you can say something like: “I want to let you know that people get up to three calls a day and each call is about 10-15 minutes long.”
